I was asked to share resources for people on the #developer#jobhunt and after I put together the list of my own writing and appearances I was a bit taken back by the amount of content that I've produced on the topic, so I thought that I'd share it here.
@Nithya_Shrii Option1: escape
Option2: fight back just enough so that you can escape
Option3: make certain that this is over
The first option in this list that you can do, you should do.
@catalinmpit Advice/information things that I would have used web search for before. Instead of clicking through a half dozen links to find the prevailing sentiment, AI gets me through to the expected information quicker.
Charlie Kirk was more committed to peaceful, open dialogue with those who disagreed with him than anyone I know. God blessed him with immense gifts, and he used them boldly and without fear. He knew the risks he was taking, but he did it anyway because he loved his kids & felt a responsibility to the nation they would inhabit. I traveled the entire country with him last year, we spent 1x1 time together in Ohio two weeks ago, spoke to him again 2 days ago. He’s long warned of the rise of political violence & the growing culture of assassination, when few were willing to listen, with a clarity of vision unlike anyone I’ve known. Completely and utterly devastated.
@GigaBasedDad Let's completely ignore the fact that Millenials were raised by television. The screens have become more addictive, but I don't think that the time spent with them is much different.
@GigaBasedDad Rates of diagnosis are inversely related to the amount of stigma associated with acknowledging mental disorder, and directly related to how much we know about that disorder. We diagnose more because we understand it better, and because we don't force people into asylums.
@GigaBasedDad I don't know about multi-generational homes, but we should bring back supportive family that's willing to help you build a life before you leave home.
@GigaBasedDad They're good for different things. I like Fahrenheit for weather or outside temps. Celsius works better in lab scenarios. For the most part Celsius makes conversions much easier, but if you're dealing with computers then why do you need that?
@nellohead If you need to get back to where you were before shutdown your browser can restore last session, outlook can reopen all windows and many text editors can keep temporary notes available without even saving formally. Just power it off regularly.
