@jksuter haha so true! I mean sometimes we can be placed in a bubble...I speak to many teachers that seem to of lost reality on just how lucky they are to be educators!
@RogersBSue Being 1:1 iPads, we have students every year that struggle to learn on the iPad or are just not into it....They prefer the more traditional learning methods. I agree 100% that it's a tool, and we are able to supplement material in a way students can relate!
Facilitated a workshop on flipped classroom today. Great questions were brought up - resistance from students, making sure students are prepared for class, not overwhelming the students, grading updates, learning assistants needed,.... @flippedlearning#flippedclassroom@ATLEUSF
What can teachers do for the students who may refuse to do work outside of the classroom? How do we motivate those students so that they don’t fall behind!? #EDU903
Can we supplement flipped material with material that isn’t ours? Would it be refreshing to students? Sometimes hearing the content from someone else can be beneficial. #EDU903
The flipped classroom should be an extension of the teacher, not a replacement of the teacher. Remember, videos don’t build relationships, but face to face interactions do! The flipped classroom gives teachers more time to interact with students on an individual basis. #EDU903
