After her heart attack symptoms were initially overlooked, her heart function dropped to just 6% and her organs began failing. She fought for a heart transplant and WON.
Now she is thriving after receiving her new heart, Lakeisha runs her catering business, teaches culinary skills to girls aging out of foster care, and advocates for Black women to speak up and demand better care.
