I’m still here, but I encourage people of good faith to find me where the skies are blue as well.
It’s the only major platform that is not owned by Musk or Zuckerberg, has no algorithmic manipulation and no advertisements, and encourages a culture of rationality and respect.
Here’s another idea @UKLabour
You say the Autumn budget will be painful
Why not offer a budget that raises funds from those who won’t feel pain
Perhaps, from those who might feel a tiny bit less comfortable
Or better still, from those so wealthy they’ll feel nothing at all.
@CollEmployScot (2) important of further education at every turn through consistent underfunding. You reap what you sow, you will find that with this constant woeful lack of funding, your own position will become more tenuous. And there will be no one left to fight for you.
@CollEmployScot Your comment on this seems to be wilfully ignoring the fact that you fought against us at every turn, that had you had your way, it would have been a lot less than the (not great) award we finally got. You are all not fit for purpose, a crutch to a government undermining the
@JohnSwinney@scotgov Ahhh so you can intervene in labour issues! @GraemeDeyMSP, do you see that? You CAN do something! It’s even been publicly acknowledged that you can! Maybe you can now pull your finger out since you’re presiding over the first lock outs since Thatcher!
To those not engaged in strike action, surely this must make you angry? Surely this must make you want to take action, support the sector, support your colleagues? If more lecturers stood up to the unjust treatment by govt we wouldn’t still be striking! Get on board @EISFela
@wmarybeard Always the case that people who can’t debate the topic will turn to ad hominem fallacies instead. You are fantastic, an inspiration with the passion you show
If I hear one more racist say “they’re invading our country” & “they don’t share core British values,” I’m going to remind them of how invading countries used to be a core British value
@SBrnsd @GraemeDeyMSP @AnasSarwar@Keir_Starmer@AngelaRayner@theSNP Even he doesn’t know that. Supposed to be the further and higher education minister (I think the title is) but he does everything EXCEPT that
Here is what I said about lifting 1.6m children out of poverty.
It is 100% affordable.
Minister didn't respond.
Would govt find the money if a bank collapsed tomorrow?
Poverty is a political choice.
Do you not understand that we were told what the pay award offered for the 4 years was when we gave our support to extend action? Everyone knew, we’ve been kept up to date, this IS our response to that @CollEmployScot
@CollEmployScot Trying to have a clever play on words and figures there? You know, having been told repeatedly, that the 4th year is to be restorative with us accepting the first 3 years. Your offer for the 4th year is NOT restorative and instead matches the final 2 years of the offer. Try again
@GeorgeMonbiot Media continue to platform Reform (with 4 seats) but not showing Greens (with 4 seats) and instead lumping them in with "others".
The Greens did incredibly well given that the deck was stacked against them and they were all but ignored by the mainstream media
