@MelvinOSquire No, I think illegal immigrants should be reported or jailed. The few of them that get emergency medical problems should be treated and detained for deportation.

@MelvinOSquire Nope, we arrest or deport those that refuse to pay and then that number dwindles to nothing. Short term pain for long term gain.

@MelvinOSquire No, the taxpayers should not be paying for treatment for people that do not get insurance. The people should pay. The govt shouldn't give money back to restaurants because someone walked out in them. Just because bad people steal doesn't mean we have to pay for those bad people.

@MelvinOSquire Not in emergency cases. They should be able to call the authorities on people that refuse to pay and have no insurance though.

@patrickbec The judge can and does step in if the witness or defendant is having their rights violated in a serious way, that happened a lot in the Rittenhouse trial, but you wouldn't want the judge to dismiss the jury and chastise council for every perceived instance of misconduct.

@patrickbec It's the prosecution's job to object to the question as leading not the Judge's. There could be many reasons the prosecutor wouldn't want to object though. Imagine the jury is very bored with the line of questioning and not paying attention, then you object and wake them up? Why

I know in football doing that before crossing the goal line likely takes the points off the board but doing it after might be 15yds or might be nothing.

@Buckaroo1967 NFHS has a no tolerance policy for showboating. It's an unsporting penalty in all sports.

If he had showboated after crossing the line I'm not sure what the penalty would be but showboating before crossing the line seems to have been enough of a penalty to take the W away.
