@EmmaSleepTech hear you that you’re disrupting the sleep industry but when you’re not doing that can you tell me why you took our order (11th Jan) , our money, then cancelled the order (why?) and still not refunded us. #CustomerServiceFail
If you want to understand how much, as a society, we’ve slowly normalised road danger, watch this clip from tonight’s BBC News at Six.
I personally don’t think horrific crashes like this should be in the light-hearted “and finally” section.
Very difficult listening to the views of young people at @ConcordCentre on their podcast on road safety, car culture and the lack of choice for them when cycling and walking.
As adults, we all need to do so much better.

We can all do our bit to call out dangerous driving and make it clear it's not welcome in our communities.
I'm really grateful to Birmingham's @GreenLaneMasjid for producing this hard-hitting film on road safety.
One mistake behind the wheel can change lives forever.
Five people die every day on our roads. Five families will get a knock on their door informing them of the worst possible news.
It doesn’t need to be this way, as @AndyCoxDCS articulates so well here.
He:
- KILLED two pedestrians
- Was inhaling N₂O
- Fled the scene
- Was already disqualified from driving
- Was doing 50mph in a 30
He will:
- Serve 8 years, 9 months
- Get only a 3 yr driving ban
The system isn’t working.

Watch to the end. 3 people - ‘protected by high viz’ almost killed whilst doing something wholly beneficial for society.
This shouldn’t be normal but it is.
This is common criminal behaviour and we need to stop it or we will loose a vital transport choice.
These drivers have all been prosecuted last month thanks to road users sending @WMPolice their dash or helmet cam footage.
I'm pleased that the force has moved quickly to bolster the team and improve the system’s efficacy so that the public knows they can trust it.
Cars provide freedom and individual convenience until everyone has one, decides to use it at a similar time and then needs to store it somewhere.
There is a future where car ownership grows and active and public transport choices aren’t provided. But no one would want it.
2nd place in four stages
2nd place in points classification
2nd place in KOM classification
2nd place in intermediate sprints classification
BUT fear not, Derek Gee made in on the final podium in Roma.
The super combative rider of the 2023 @giroditalia . 👏

An insanely close pass by this van driver. It got issued the largest fine from any of my reports to date.
£1,200 fine and £470 court costs.
This was due to failing to notify the police who was driving.
I have just sent the Chancellor @Jeremy_Hunt - supported by major charities - a letter asking him to postpone the government's 20% increase in energy bills on 1 April.
The letter is at attached (plus supplementary explanation) please read and feel free to share
