We were in Minneapolis looking for a place to eat lunch before the Orioles play the Twins and stumbled across a Husker pub/grill -- a great find in the heart of Gopher country. #GBR
After attending the always-impressive annual Tea American Legion Memorial Day program, I played 18 holes of golf at Bakker Crossing. I was pleased to see that each green had an American flag, and a flag stand so golfers wouldn't lay the flags on the ground while putting.

Two rare feats on Dec.2:
1. Golfing in short sleeves in December in South Dakota.
2. Golfing partner Ron Hoffmanโs approach shot on the 18th hole got stuck on a tree branch 20 feet above ground. #AmazingGolfShots
How much rain did we get? This is an empty pipe near our ditch that serves as a marker to show where water service is buried during road construction. Itโs spouting water because of hydrostatic pressure in the ground from 4 inches of rain 2 days ago and flow from a nearby creek.
In 50 years of golfing, Iโve played in a lot of extreme weather, but I canโt recall if Iโve ever played in a hail storm like I did today. Glad the hail wasnโt golf ball size.
I suspect some golfer who was playing Willow Run at Sioux Falls may have had a little too much to drink. Gives new meaning to the term โin the hazard.โ
