@NathanHend72983@BasedPota18@nickzilla20 Palpatine doesn't look anything like Darth Sidious at the end of the movie. And if you say "Darth Sidious is the Emperor" why would Palpatine not say that when he declares himself Emperor? Why would he deny the name if he was Darth Sidious all along?
@heymanniceshot0@OhNoItsAlexx I'm not a Halo fan so I don't really care about this game specifically but I think it's weird to remake a game, give it completely new mechanics, and then give the player the option of playing the "classic" experience but they have to unlock that option piece by piece.
@heymanniceshot0@OhNoItsAlexx Limitations breed creativity. When you remove limitations, you remove the creative element of playing around those limitations. And if you're going to make a sandbox remake of a game that once had limitations, why require the player to unlock the sandbox elements at all?
@RaiTaaj@NNico4500@souljagoyteller The only way this happens is if the UK makes peace with Germany in 1940. If the war continues past that, the Madagascar Plan rapidly becomes less and less likely.
@mormonmommyuwu The funniest part has to be how little role police reform gets outside of The Modern Content (Hart) and I guess Kennedy has some stuff for it. You'd think a major part of Johnson's reforms would be in the Johnson presidency but nope it's All Welfare.
@mormonmommyuwu TNO America in general is comical. Things Just Happen in it because Destiny or something, rather than emerging organically from the conditions of an America that lost the Second World War.
@VMU_Dream@ProudBavaria Of course, but I'd like for the issues to be addressed and not ignored. The best feature of these games should not be neglected on basic maintenance like that. Not asking for the world here.
@VMU_Dream@ProudBavaria I haven't played EU5 MP in a while (and when I did, it was surprisingly stable), but it really should not be ignored. In-house rules and load orders can fix a lot of things, but MP stability has been a major issue for Vic3, CK3, and Stellaris when my group does MP.
@VMU_Dream@ProudBavaria My group (for Vic3) does! In-house rules don't remove game instability. We've had many campaigns end prematurely or fail to start due to extreme instability. Not to mention that a lot of basic features (like a chat) aren't included in many modern PDX multiplayers like Vic3.
@ProudBavaria CK2/3 are the only passable singleplayer Paradox games because the character AI doesn't really have to be *good* so much as it has to reflect their traits (which is to say be actually kind of stupid sometimes). Hardly flawless, but it actually works, unlike other singleplayers.
@meowdooda@MJediB03 But the prequels show Anakin as someone with very few heroic qualities, which is odd. To me, Anakin being a great hero (deeply flawed as he may be) is very important to him being redeemed by his sacrifice in the OT, and the prequels fail to achieve this in my opinion.
@meowdooda@MJediB03 But these passions slowly eat away at him, and with the Jedi Order's corruption and Palpatine's manipulation, he begins to descend deeper and deeper into the Dark Side before his final choice to support Palpatine and condemn the galaxy to the rule of the Sith.
@mike_lox@zweiwalker89607 The execution was imperfect (the force ghost should've been what he looked like when he died), but the point made by the film is pretty clear. Luke, despite being told by everyone that his father was too far gone, led him from the Dark Side back to the light, if only for a moment
@mike_lox@zweiwalker89607 Vader does redeem himself. That is what happens in the film. He appears as a force ghost in Anakin form.
The point of the redemption isn't that Vader killing the Emperor made all of his crimes forgiven, but that, for the first time since his fall, he turned back to the light.
