Thank you @GovAndyBeshear for standing up for farmers and consumers across this country. Regulations protect kids, prohibition does not. Americans deserve access to these products.
Yesterday, the House of Representatives voted 370 to 48 to pass a short-term government funding bill delaying the looming ban on hemp products. The deadline has now been extended by 30 days, pushing it to December 11, 2026.
This extension protects naturally derived hemp products like Cornbread's, and ensures they remain federally legal while we work toward a permanent solution. This is a meaningful signal that Congress intends to regulate hemp products rather than ban them outright.
Lawmakers from both parties backed the extension, sending a clear signal of bipartisan support for keeping natural, low-dose hemp products legal. Cornbread will continue working with lawmakers until the job is done, and we urge you to continue calling and emailing your representatives to demand they protect hemp. Your support matters, and every voice counts!

Yesterday, the House voted to delay the federal hemp ban by one month. It’s a step in the right direction — but it’s not nearly enough.
Thousands of Minnesota workers, farmers, brewers and producers depend on the hemp industry and hemp-derived products. I’ll keep fighting to stop the hemp ban and protect Minnesota jobs.
Good news: The Senate voted to reject an attempt to strip the hemp ban delay out of the funding bill. A federal hemp ban would wipe out thousands of Minnesota jobs. Our farmers and small businesses are already following strong safety rules — a one-size-fits-all federal ban ignores that. This buys us time, and I’m not done fighting.
We’ve been selling a whole lot of CBD since 2020. So yeah, this is about CBD. Are we just brushing off banning CBD now like it’s no biggie? @tomweedlaw
@CornbreadHemp@tomweedlaw Everything we sold was Full Spectrum CBD. No synthetics and no additives. Just pure plant, the way nature grows it, unadulterated. So, yea, it has a lot to do with CBD. A CBD heavy plant will not grow without THC. They destroy CBD through the 0.4mg caveats on products.
Thank you @amyklobuchar - from the millions of veterans and seniors, and the 105 employees here at Cornbread. We would not be here without your leadership.
It is 330 am and good news for hemp farmers, brewers, small businesses & customers! On a 61-32 vote the Senate just defeated an effort to strip my provision that would delay the hemp ban. This gives Congress more time to find a solution, like the sensible safety rules in MN.
