At our final Fall all-hands meeting, we enjoyed chatting with Dr. Szczuka about her research on VR in sexual and interpersonal relationships. Thank you to our PhD candidates, graduate researchers, and undergraduate RAs who collaborated on various VR projects this past semester.

Meet Jiahao Liu, a Mechanical Engineering PhD student working on our VELs Diver-Agent Team. He researches human-computer and human-robot interactions using VR and XR, and through a scuba diving simulator, he is exploring how VR can ease collaboration between humans and UAVs.

Welcome Miki Matsumuro, our new postdoctoral associate! She has a Ph.D. in Information Science from Nagoya University in Japan. Her interests are in understanding and simulating the human cognitive process in interacting with the environment (UI, human, AI-agent).
Welcome Ph.D. student, Julia Sebastien, to the lab! Julia's interests combine social psychology communication, perception and cognition, Human-Computer Interaction, education, prosocial behavior, and mental health.
