If you are a healthcare provider in Alabama who has had a test request for #coronavirus or who has been reluctant to request one due to direction from @ALPublicHealth, please reach out. #Covid19
@ALPublicHealth is gatekeeping testing in AL, with fewer than 20 tests being administered state-wide and no tests outstanding. No word on how many tests have been referred by physicians and denied, or otherwise. #coronavirus#COVID19 https://t.co/YraizAVzbV
@iMakeArtifacts @onthewall_fly @SeattleiteLeo @DrLeanaWen@denise_dewald You can start with the Bangladeshi trial that showed very modest benefits (only for surgical masks) among a very small subset of the population.
@TracyBethHoeg @Melinda01212917 @Hold2LLC@CDCgov@MonicaGandhi9@DrDanielJohnson@nytimes The entire piece was about schools so clearly a reader would not assume this quote referred to healthcare settings. But beyond that, having published numerous op-eds myself, I have never - and would never - allow an editorial staff to put words in my mouth. Never ever ever.
@bootsie34828232@SteveSchmidtSES I certainly think he should have after the mask fiasco... He might get a pass, though, because he wasn't appointed by Trump.
@sbrown044@UABNews@uabmedicine Someone more knowledgable can confirm, but I think the first day after holidays are usually higher because people put off care over them. Add in a pandemic, and voila.
@WarOnDumb It should be trivial to distinguish between the two... Someone add another column to whatever database is being used to process the results. The incompetence on full display is both incomprehensible and by design.
I know a guy taped himself to a billboard and all, but could we focus a bit of attention on the US president admitting on TV to sabotaging the voting process and putting American lives at risk?
@GrahamMcClinto1 @ByChipBrownlee There's always a lower number on the weekends, because Alabama is one of two states that doesn't mandate or automate reporting, and fewer hospitals share their numbers on the weekend.
So, Huntsville cops/Madison County deputies/state troopers fired tear gas at peaceful protesters tonight. On live TV. Actually at a reporter. And the anchors on @whnt went full on state TV, painting the protesters as criminals and acting as if the cops had no choice.
ICYMI: @ncdhhs reported the state’s highest one-day number of laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases with 1,107 cases reported on May 23. Read more at: https://t.co/xEWHUtafxo
Alabama reported more cases of COVID-19 last week than any other week since the pandemic began, and the increase in new cases reported last week compared to the previous week was higher than 46 other states and D.C.
