The Shalom Corps team caught up with the @israellacrosse volunteers for some summer fun in southern Israel this week🥍
It was great to see their energy and sportsmanship on the field!
They are putting in work on and off the field and creating meaningful relationships and experiences along the way.
The athletes are doing a great job fostering involvement with local children and we can't wait to see what lasting impacts are being created on the field.
30 US lacrosse players from colleges across the country are officially settled in Ashkelon, Israel to begin their three-week volunteer program.
The athletes are working in and around the region’s border towns to teach life skills and build the local community through lacrosse.
Shalom Corp’s partner, Camp @AdainLo, is Men in Black-themed for summer 2022. The Madrikhs put together an engaging activity in which campers exercised teamwork to rid the camp of a “curse” brought via long-lost items belonging to historical Jewish heroes. Way to go campers!
A class of 8 brilliant #engineering#students from San Diego took on the #challenge of making a hands-free hand washing station suitable for school children of all ages and abilities.
The ideas the class came up with during a #hackathon were innovative and exciting.
The Hackathon was run by @NALA_Foundation San Diego Branch and San Diego Jewish Academy Teacher; as part of the WASH on Wheels project launching with Shalom Corps & @gatesfoundation - bringing safe #water access to schools by renovating existing infrastructure.
This week, about 30 students arrived at Marrakesh, Morocco, as part of the Heritage Program of Kulna and Shalom corps.
This time, the students volunteered for over 8 hours renovating the cemetery in Marrakech while learning about Morocco's Jewish Community & Jewish identity 💪
We are pleased to share with you that Alon Beer has been appointed as the next CEO of Shalom Corps.
Many thanks and appreciation to Daniela Blecher, for her years of service to Shalom Corps – first as COO and then as acting CEO.
Happy #Israel#Independence Day, Cheers to another 74 years!
May we continue to celebrate each year with freedom, liberty, & joy.
May we learn to take the experience and knowledge accumulated here and join forces with the world Jewry to address the various global challenges.
In Peru, another similar delegation was launched! Both delegations are dedicated to the memory of Lieutenant Colonel Dolev Keidar (Colombia) and Lieutenant Bar Rahav (Peru), with one of the delegation members being his sister, Ron Rahav. What a special and exciting privilege!

During this Passover, our @UnitedHatzalah volunteers made sure Ukrainian Jews and refugees had it covered:
Delivering medicine & medical equipment to Ukraine hospitals;
Providing three cargo flights of Kosher l'Pesach food for Jews in Ukraine and refugees in Slovakia and Moldova;
#TBT Last year, @BetarAustralia in partnership with Shalom Corps took part in the Adopt-A-Safta project: a local initiative that pairs young adults with lonely elderly.
We had the privilege to participate in an inspiring event where mothers come together and create a meaningful #impact on their communities.
Mothers with Meaning is a program where powerful women take the lead, are self-realized, and create a social impact based on #Jewish_values
