@dabK3r@baselessassert Obviously nobody can stop all forms of exploitation they participate in (the nirvana fallacy)
but do you think that none of your more frivolous economic decisions cause harm or could be stopped?
@dabK3r@baselessassert LMAO all I suggested was there are conveniences you can plausibly cut out to stop exploitation and you're pretending I told you to be perfect...I didn't ask you to reach nirvana
@dabK3r@baselessassert Have you ever heard someone say what was wrong with Jeffery dahmer was that he "went against the grain." Or that they Nazis were bad because "they went with the grain"
@dabK3r@baselessassert "Go against the grain."
"Hold the same values."
You're literally walking back vegan ethics as you talk to me. You'd describe a political opponent as someone with different values, not a murderer or rapist. You change your language because of the implication of what your saying.
@tofuafficionado This is misleading because only 14% of Americans for example use chatgpt, whereas 90% of Americans eat meat.
Also this is a low ball estimate on how much water chatgpt uses for a prompt, some estimate have it at 500 ml per 5 - 50 prompts.
@baselessassert Adding more on to two, not enough is said about the social aspect of vegan ethics. Like your partner also has to agree with vegan ethics, as do your friends, and family. How does one navigate the world when almost everyone falls into their definition of a murderer?
@baselessassert 2. That it's counterintuitive, way more people are open to flex, vegetarian, pescatarian diets. Promoting strict adherence to a single diet turns people off of those lifestyles, make people generally avoid veganism and may even make them anti-vegan.
