@corriepodcast I think it’s another test of the concept like we saw with Kit, Mick and Lou. Lesser known/established characters are less risky to do stuff like this with. They might be wanting to do it with more well loved characters at some point
@randomstuffxzxz Really liked it too. I think it’s really interesting to see stuff like this and if they did something in the future with more established characters there are some really interesting possibilities
@swarlanations It’s quite funny to me that people don’t seem to realise or forget that there actually was a surprising amount of darker material and creative means of storytelling throughout Corrie’s history. I didn’t really clock onto this myself recently lol
I understand that it might be harder to film on location these days cost wise or whatever, but they are getting really really lazy with using the Precinct for literally every single “off-street” scene. #Corrie
@DuncanLindsay Think this could be a back door pilot for more flashback episodes in future, given that Eastenders have done it well and I think doing it with these characters and time period they can’t really get it wrong and will gauge the audience’s perception of the idea.
@DaranLittle I’ve thought for a while this would be a good move, there’s so much that could be done with spinoffs and different time periods. Seems like such an easy win for ITV
@CorrieFanHubUK Actually really like the idea of flashback eps set years in the past, very odd to do a Kit episode tho I can’t believe many people care lol. Maybe it’s like a back door pilot for the idea being used again in the future?
@StuartBeckMP Yeah I’ve noticed in a few recent episodes there’s been some good dialogue and more “normal” character interaction. More of this pls Corrie
