My therapist once told me: Imagine being bitten by a snake and, instead of treating the bite, you waste time chasing the snake to understand why it bit you and prove you didn't deserve it.
MOST PEOPLE USING AI EVERY DAY ARE GETTING DUMBER.
THE RESEARCH NOW PROVES IT.
MIT wired 54 students to EEG machines and proved what that costs.
The ones who learn to engage their own brain first and open the chat second will be ahead soon.
A year from now this will be obvious. Most people will be late.
One group used ChatGPT. One group used Google. One group used nothing.
The ChatGPT group's neural connectivity weakened every single session. By session three they were copy-pasting.
Asked to quote one line from the essay they had written minutes earlier - 78% could not produce a single word.
The researchers called it cognitive debt. You borrow against your own thinking to ship faster today and the interest compounds against your future ability to think at all.
But here is what the viral tweets missed entirely.
→ In session four the groups were swapped. The hand-writers got AI. The AI users lost their tools. And the results flipped completely.
→ The hand-writers, now using AI for the first time, showed higher neural connectivity than any AI-only session had produced.
→ Their brains lit up wider. They caught the model's mistakes because they had spent three months building internal structure to compare against.
→ The AI users, stripped of their tools, could not function. They had been outputting work for months without ever encoding any of it.
→ The paper's actual finding is not "AI makes you dumb." It is this: using AI before independent cognitive engagement builds debt.
→ Using AI after independent cognitive engagement amplifies you. The order is everything.
The Trap Nobody Talks About:
→ Most knowledge workers use AI to do the same amount of work in less time. Then they spend the saved hours on scrolling, Netflix, and passive consumption.
→ The thinking did not stop happening - it got transferred outward to a model. And the time it freed got filled with dopamine instead of harder problems.
That trade is the trap.
→ If you use AI to compress an eight-hour day into two hours with identical output, you have made yourself easier to replace - not harder.
→ The person who uses those same six freed hours to attempt something four times harder than before becomes more valuable every quarter.
→ Same tool. Two completely different outcomes. The difference is what you do with the saved cognition.
You are not choosing whether to use AI. You are choosing which direction the compounding runs.
Engage your own brain first. Then open the chat.
Everything else follows from that one rule
@quantum_ascend Learning a lot from you, thank you so much for the time and effort you are putting into this channel! 🙏🏻🙏🏻 And from a former architect, congrats for your apartment: the concrete column and the glass facade are 🤩
This book is hilarious. Instead of cliché positivity affirmations, it is a collection of sarcastic and realistic affirmations.

Exactly 1 year ago, I wrote my first post on LinkedIn.
It blew up.
A few months later, I figured Twitter out.
Now I have 51k followers across both platforms + massive credibility + a profitable side hustle.
All I did was follow these 4 writing principles:
Falling short of a goal doesn't mean failure. Often it's progress.
14 experiments, 10k people: people counted results that didn't meet targets as losses—even if they were gains.
The key measure of success isn't reaching your destination. It's improving from your starting point.
