My first Gordon! What an amazing (and low-key terrifying 😅) experience. My first conference talk outside PR! Grateful to share the stage with incredible scientists. Learned so much from you all @CortexGrc Thanks @ShanskyLab @DavidEMoorman for everything!! 💕
Un abrazo desde🇵🇷
What a fantastic week at @CortexGrc and GRS. It was amazing to meet so many new science friends and learn about their newest research and ideas. Thank you @julia_mitchh@drsilvershana@doc_becca @DavidEMoorman for making it all possible.
I loved loved loved having you in the crowd!! It was the most reassuring! Between you in the crowd supporting me and @bealuna55’s pep talk whilst running late, there was no way I could falter!! 💪🏾🧠🙌🏾 #womeninSTEM#brainsandfame got me like 🤯🥰😍💅🏾
Shout out to our incredible career panelists who closed out the GRS! These three had such amazing insights about careers in industry, medical writing, at the NIH and at primarily undergraduate institutions! So grateful they came and told us about their experiences!
Hands down @CortexGrc ‘24 was the best conference I’ve ever been part of. My inaugural GRS co-chair @julia_mitchh doing this along side me, @doc_becca and @DavidEMoorman for a diverse/inclusive GRC, but THE TRAINEES - the scientific future is dazzling because of our community🫶🧠
Just made it home 🇫🇷 after 5 exciting and thought-provoking days @CortexGrc 🇺🇲 !
Congrats and big thanks to @ShanskyLab and @DavidEMoorman for bringing together such a brillant and open crowd 🙏
Thank you @doc_becca and @DavidEMoorman for this fantastic @CortexGrc !! What a whirlwind of a week, so many wonderful people and ideas. Positively awesome!!
Had an amazing time presenting my research project @CortexGrc. Met a lot of great scientists and made lots of friends. I’d like to thank my Pi Dr. Sun @mus_elegans and the GRC chairs for giving me the opportunity to attend this wonderful meeting.
I’m so grateful to @ShanskyLab & @DavidEMoorman for inviting me to @CortexGrc. Diverse, inclusive community of kind people sharing smart ideas is what makes science fun & that was available in spades at the conference!
Really big thanks to everyone at @CortexGrc for making my first GRC (+ first meeting as a postdoc & first in this field) such a fantastic experience. The first time I've really felt part of a neuroscience community & I'm coming away so energized!
Such a great time @CortexGrc! Full of amazing science, conversations, and so many wonderful people! Can’t wait for next time! 🥳🧠
Big thank you to my amazing PI and next vice chair🥳 (@not_kristie) and also the chairs of both the GRS and GRC for allowing me to present my work!
Cummings lab had an amazing time at the Frontal Cortex GRS/GRC 🧠! We met so many brilliant scientists, learned a TON, and @cardosorodrigo2, @Bfitz_Sci, @HunterFranks17, and Zephyr Desa represented the lab with 4 exciting posters and 2 outstanding talks 📈🎤
I wanted to say how much I enjoyed @CortexGrc (Gordon Conference and Seminar on the frontal cortex), but @SStaszko just put it so well!
The only disappointment was not seeing @Yoav_Livneh who could make it, unfortunately.
Super surreal moment to present @CortexGrc 🧠 with @BrielleRyan on the same day. Both of us mentored by legendary @wjgao99 during grad school, and now we're presenting together as faculty members.
Had a truly wonderful first experience at the Frontal Cortex GRC ❤️🙌🏾. Learned a lot of new techniques, made new friends/connections, and had many inspirations. I will definitely be back @CortexGrc#FrontalCortexGRC
I had a blast at @CortexGrc this past week! Loved making new science friends and sharing my poster that examines how the hormonal milieu during pregnancy has long-lasting effects on neural activity post-parturition. This week felt like science summer camp in the best way!!
@CortexGrc exceeded all of my expectations and has set the bar incredibly high for the next GRC I attend! I loved learning from and getting to know so many inspiring scientists and left with a list of analyses and experiments to try (and more importantly many new friends!) 🧠
