Our Administrator and Principal Trombone @SimonTalbot76 sent this recently. "The Glissening" for 8-part trombone choir. Some fabulous sounds and superb playing.

30 years ago today - 3rd April 1991 - @CorusBrass gave its 1st concert in the Paderhalle, #Paderborn, Germany.
Here's "Also Sprach Zarathustra" Strauss arr. MJ Lyons from that concert - a version that we loved playing. Sorry for the video quality.

A super recording from a "few" years ago. One of our favourites. Three members in the photo (and who played in this recording) are still in the ensemble! The rest moved on to other things except for the late, great Michael Wildgust (principal trumpet) who died tragically young.
Proud to be guest music director of @CorusBrass
Dates later this year:
Sat 13 Nov Bolton Parish Church, 6pm
Sat 4 Dec Deane Church, Bolton, 7pm
Sat 11 Dec Bolton Parish Church 6pm
God willing, vaccine willing!

While very sad that we won’t be able to have our annual Christmas charity carol concert this year here’s an offering from @CorusBrass who played with us last year https://t.co/Txr9zjwR8i
We're looking forward to welcoming them back to @StPeterBolton in 2021.

For the first time in 35 years @CorusBrass is not playing live during the festive season. So here is this year's Christmas greeting, courtesy of youtube!

We've missed playing live this Christmas, for the first time in 35 years. But here's our rendition of Carol of the Bells arranged by our own John Parkinson.
Hope you enjoy it!

Tonight should have seen a concert by @CorusBrass & @BMSSingers at Bolton Parish Church. @StPeterBolton A great pity we had to cancel it. Instead I shall go to my social bubble, to cook them duck, with port/redcurrant sauce. We’ll open and drink this 2007 beauty to go with it.
*Spoiler alert!* (Don't look at this if you don't already know who wins the Brass Category Final).
Such talent and brilliance tonight from our musicians, but what blew the judges away about tonight's performances?

However, we believe that we had to show strong leadership and to make an early contribution to protecting our more vulnerable citizens by social distancing at this difficult stage for everyone.
Details of ticket refunds will be available on the trybooking website shortly /3
Following careful analysis of current evidence relating to the coronavirus pandemic along with consultation with the Vicar of Bolton and others, we have decided to postpone the concert that was scheduled to be given at Bolton Parish Church on Saturday 28 March at 6pm /1
by Corus Brass Ensemble and their guests The BMS Singers.
It is regrettable that we have had to take this decision, especially as the event was to have been our 35th birthday concert and the first as Ensemble in Residence at the church. /2
