Traces of Texas reader Les Stewart kindly sent in this photo of a giant sawfish that was caught caught in 1938 near Sabine Pass by Mac Callais on his boat, the "I'M-A-LONE." This picture was taken at the Sears Store in Port Arthur. The fish was 14 feet long and weighed 650 .lbs.

The Dairy Barn, built in 1926 at Texas Tech, allowed for the payment of tuition through milk sales from cattle that were brought by students to the college. Students could bring up to three cows to campus and house them in the barn. It has been restored:
