Xavier Hutchinson on CJ Stroud on @gmfb:
“Just to see his growth from our 1st year to now entering our 4th, it’s been amazing. He has a big year ahead of him but he’s prepared himself for it & I’m excited to see what he can do. You win & lose as a team, it’s not all on CJ. 2026 is going to be his time. I’m excited to see that happen. I think we’re gunna get a good year out of him. But also it’s football, not everything is going to bounce your way & that’s life though. With CJ, his back has been against the wall several times & we’ve all seen him prevail through it. This is nothing new to him. 2026 is going to be a good year.”
@DaneCook is there any "Superbleeder" shirts available? I had one when I was 16 brought it to college and it went missing - been looking to get another one for years but to no avail!
Nico Collins on CJ Stroud:
“He’s one of a kind. He’s a leader, he’s poised, he’s ready to lead every single day. He’s coming in with a mission & a chip on his shoulder. That’s who you want as a QB. You got his back 100% of the way & he knows that, he gunna ride for you. That’s your QB1, gotta take care of him, gotta love him. Can’t wait for this year, can’t wait for this season for everybody. Sky is the limit for both sides of the ball.”
@MrOptimisticHou Jauan Jennings - a great blocking wr that can play slot. Would keep our smaller slots (Noel,Dell) off field on typical running downs but is also very capable downfield when doing play action on those typical running downs
@Texans_Thoughts @JohnCrumplerMD If you want to stay young on the interior maybe Zion Johnson. My preferred player is Vera-Tucker, who with health issues, could be this years flier 1 Year prove it deal guy. Or good vets would be Seumalo or Faleele. Think Andrews stays starter at Center
@TexansCommenter makes me think Texans are going in on Braden Smith in FA and getting young through draft with Miller or Iheanachor. As for interior wanna 1 or 2 of these signed VeraTucker, Mays, Paul, lindenbaum.
Look for Trent Brown to come back too
Sources: The #Texans and #Browns have agreed to terms on a trade to send starting RT Tytus Howard to Cleveland in exchange for a fifth-round pick.
Much-needed OL help. Plus, Howard gets a new 3-year, $63M extension in a deal done by @malkikawa and Ethan Lock of @FirstRoundMgmt.

#Texans GM Nick Caserio on a C.J. Stroud trade:
“It’s moronic. Like we’re not trading the guy. He’s our quarterback. So, he’s gonna be playing quarterback for the Houston Texans in 2026. Anything beyond that... you guys can speculate on that. But we’re not trading C.J. Stroud.”
@TexansCommenter I think he'll get priced out for Houston. Would love to see Texans take a chance on Vera-Tucker on FA could make an Ingram revitalization as well if he stays healthy.
@InvisibleTexans Dream:
Braden Smith, RT
Want but probably won't get:
Breece Hall, RB
Tyler Linderbaum, C
Players I'd consider signing for the right price:
Isiah Pacheco, RB
Alijah Vera-Tucker, OG
Daniel Bellinger, TE
@TexansFilmGuy Exactly right. They'll definitely pick up 5th year and in the same breath work on long term deal. The market goes up every year so it's smart to lock him in now then wait another year when A. He plays a lot better and B. APY is +$60/65 mil
@TexansFilmGuy 1. David Montgomery via trade
2. Get Lindenbaum. Draft Vega Iaone
3. Johnson been working with Stroud since a teenager - get some new method and eyes on Stroud
4. Like tutus at LG too but probably goes back to RT-resign Ingram
5. Continuity is key- keep Caley and grow together
Day after Thoughts:
Texans defense dominated, but the offense gashed the Steelers all night, 400 yards and 21 FD’s. The only reason this game wasn’t a blowout at halftime was turnovers, 2 of which took points of the board. Clean up the turnovers and this team can beat anyone.
