@wrestling_VI I mean…he DID get over. Watch his matches with Benoit and the time Goldberg speared him when he had the metal plate under his jersey. Or his early matches with Flair. The problem was WCW never leaned in. He was years into his run before winning his first Wolrd belt.
@uscfan981 Do you know how many wrestlers there have been. Ahmed was a flash in the pan. For about 6 months, it looked like he could be a main eventer (or maybe an upper midcarder), but he was sloppy, injury prone, bad on the mic and unpopular backstage.
@justtheone_1 I’d replace Bearer with Cornette. Paul was great and one do the few who was effective as a face, but he only worked when managing UT or against UT. Cornette managed a bunch of diverse wrestlers and brought heat to each
@YEAHRevolution_ He was bad at every single aspect of wrestling and showed no charisma.
But he got paid a lot of money and dated Stacy Keibler for years. Dude did something right.
@heyitsmeCarolyn Honestly, this doesn’t bother me. He’s an older guy giving his audience a nostalgia fix. He isn’t the performer he was, but betting the audience left happy.
@annhybri …Maybe? I’ve never seen anything like the fandom for Swift’s concerts. And Beyoncé has an almost godlike aura.
But no one listed sells anything like Thriller sold. And things like interviews he did or his Super Bowl halftime show were cultural events.
@JESnowden He was like Goldberg. Great at some things but bad at others. So…don’t have him wrestle long matches. Give him squash matches. If he needs to wrestle more than 10 minutes, give him someone who can lead to something solid. Not everyone is Bret Hart
