Guy at my coworking space said he walks by me and thinks “wow, she’s always so busy! and so smart!” which is so nice cuz I don’t feel that productive but I must look like it! In actuality, I am waiting for builds and deciding if honey roasted peanuts and tajin taste good together
@_jmcollins Write this on my gravestone cuz just go to the dermatologist y’all!!! By now you done gave 11 copays and 6 months of prescription costs to the skincare gworls just messing around so just gooooooooo
the rug from under me. I really wanted that opportunity in SF but I know every room I’ve been in since was exactly where I was supposed to be. Now I get to share my life and the coins I collect with my dogs and people who haven’t ever questioned their love for me. I’m grateful.
4 years ago today, I was in SF trying to hold it together during the most important tech interview of my life because my husband told me he didn’t love me and never would the day before. Bombed the interview. Had the best time w/ my friends. Decided that week to divorce him.
Needless to say, it was the best decision I have ever made. I was grinding it out working full time, doing a bootcamp part time and my goal was to support us financially so that he could start his business once I got into a solid role. The second that looked possible, he pulled
@ChrisFerdinandi Ah, this is validating! It definitely makes sense that it’s a little bit of everything. It’s definitely something I want to remind my org of but I am also embarrassed that I can’t see lol
Ok question that idk how to word - I have pretty good vision (recently confirmed) but I find that I STRUGGLE reading text on decks and screens that people present via Zoom/Meet. I have come to the conclusion that people are making text too small but idk if that is just me? (1)
I came out of a bootcamp w/ solid JS skills. I discovered #dotnet because my first dev job required it. Everything made sense in a way I hadn’t experienced before. I used tools that helped me make better decisions for performant and elegant code. ❤️’d it ever since #dotNETLovesMe
The black engineers at my company decided to share salaries, one of us found out they made about 50% less than everyone else. We gone get my boy a massive raise, I promise.
@asmamk I was thinking about this yesterday!! I have had coworkers who use 👍🏾 though it’s nowhere near their skin tone and it’s confusing to me. I can’t tell if that’s how they see themselves or if it’s funny to them but I find myself feeling offended when imagining the latter scenario.
I have a business idea but I can’t figure out what I need to prepare for it, like a credential - if anything? It’s a consulting service and I’m like - do you just write down your ideas and do research and ask people to trust that what you are offering benefits them?
