@Coach_Yac B+/A-
He didn't have a spectacular game, but he didn't need to. He played within the system, avoided forcing interceptable balls, hit a few big throws and didn't take dumb sacks against a GOOD D-line. He didn't try to hero ball, which is what we want. It's the winning formula
@Tecmo49ers@sportslarryk He'll trust his instincts more with game reps. Same was true of Winters, and he's flying around doing a good Dre impression now. He should be fine ๐
@dfaaita97037 @49ersSportsTalk Nostalgia. Peak, in his prime Dre was poetry in motion. People were really hoping he'd come back in form after basically having a full year to recover from injury.
I'll admit, I was one of those people.
@iam_johnw Plus- Caleb *never* won the big games in college. Lost like, all but one of his top-15 matchups. I never, never got the hype around this guy.
@iam_johnw This is why I wasn't on board with the whole generational talent thing when he was drafted. He's a strong athlete but not sure he's a QB.
BJ fixed Goff, but Goff was a decent pocket QB who played within his system, just needed some tweaks. CW has always played sandlot ball.
