How many restaurants have to close for government to respond? Is one a day too many? Or is our food culture completely supplementary to their vision? @1Hildegarde

@LasTapasDeLola@mistereatgalway ah we always watched every penny cause we opened 3 weeks before the first lockdown. But there are no pennys left or to be saved anymore 🤦♀️
The *people* NOT the Restaurant industry should be screaming about the VAT increase proposal on food
VAT is between *you* & the government, they simply tell us what to take from YOU. They’re putting their hand in your pockets (again) to allow you the pleasure of a little treat
Our electricity has gone up 400%. Don't think 40% is going to help enough businesses, particularly if bar returns to 13.5%. what they give you with one hand they take with another.
I won't lie to you. The last three years has me broken. From crisis to crisis. The next 6 months will define Irish food for the next 5/10 years. From farmers to suppliers, from chefs to producers. We're ar breaking point. Support your local farmer. Support your local restaurant.
We were on the hunt for Best Restaurant! 🍴 Our finalists are Emiliano's , @MomoRestaurant , and @CouchCafe . Vote for your favourite here

I always try remain positive in what I do. However with the cost of living & cost of production rising daily, I am really afraid for all our future. Being self employed has never been so stressful & I've traded through recession & covid.I hope I'm not alone in my thoughts 💣 😔
I will not lie to you it's getting harder and harder to manage the businesses. 14 years in business and this is definitely worse than recession or covid. Have to put thinking cap on. Is it time for an exit strategy? Or at least a time to shrink to something manageable? Who knows.
@Killybegsgirl no children at our house but it is takeaway or air fryer lately after 15-16h of being out of our house daily so completely understand you 😂
