@ryangerritsen I’ve been screaming LOUDLY for years
Ontario Municipal Culture of non housing performance and provincial focus under Ford on individual friends and poor 2006 growth plan implementation means Ontario will be a HAVE NOT growth market
A housing market imbalance is deathly
@MarneyBeck Agenda oriented local media has NO market and Canadians WANT “journalism”. Todays actions although sad are longtime overdue. It’s too bad some in the media LOST the JOURNALISM compass and they missed the Barbara Frum, Bob Cameron and Knowlton. Nash journalism integrity & legacy
@jamesdueck@PierrePoilievre Are municipal politicians & local gov’t bureaucrats accountable for refusing housing building permits to meet Canadian needs?
Are you blaming the PM that bank rates aren’t at 0.25%!
Yes the PM monitory & fiscal policy are questionable. HOUSING is a municipal issue!
@elonmusk@stclairashley Options exist pragmatically to satisfy environment decisions and protect agriculture
Thank you for the post outlining the ramifications and head in the sand death of animals but now find innovative environment, people and animal solutions. Let’s be innovative & help Mr, Musk
@pipson52@StephenMLloyd2@ABDanielleSmith I used to be part of “the friends of the cbc”. Unfortunately CBC (as others) lost the journalism approach long ago. Now we only have media. The CBC continues to “make news”, “report with a socialist feel good approach” and lost the professionalism leadership they once led.
@philwrite@marilyniafrate@TorontoStar That’s not the way the system works. If so taxes would have reduced when housing value (inflation) went up. An informed public will help create better public policy
@PierrePoilievre The PM is out of touch. We all like the effort, leadership, resolve & vigor that Pierre Poilievre is doing (on balance). Keep going Pierre however please LEAD and try not to embrace the “bandwagon & pundits” who create a power culture that makes us dislike Our politicians.
@MarkVosylius@RE_MarketWatch It takes 2.1 people per household to maintain our economy. Declining domestic birth rate (1.6) = immigration need. The housing “SUPPLY” crisis is high land + build cost + municipal taxation & delays. Municipal incompetence from poor provincial oversight + NIMBYism the issue.
@Fleischmarket@jm_mcgrath More opportunities exist. It’s a great time for community, province and Canada building. I encourage you to “Get on the train” and be more pragmatic “Canadian style” and less on the simply protest side
@PierrePoilievre Thank you for bringing housing issues to the forefront. As a previous elected councillor, I can confirm that political gatekeepers, process / red tape along with NIMBY leaders are driving housing and rent un - affordability
@panda_vampy@fordnation Municipal sprawl is bad planning. Please hold municipalities accountable to reach housing start requirements. Canada is 1.8 million housing units short of the housing needs and ranked last in the industrialized world for homes per capita.
Glad to see the crews removed all the ice and snow from our historic Yonge street sidewalks overnight throughout the east side of Yonge Street (Ward 2).
