⚖️ In the space of just a few days, Hungary has witnessed a breathtaking assault on the rule of law.
❌ First: After unconstitutionally removing the sitting President of the Republic, the government rushed to appoint a successor within hours, acting as though the presidency were nothing more than a political office to be filled at will. Even their own nominee ultimately refused to accept the position. In his own words, President Tamás Sulyok stated that “the democratic rule of law that emerged from the legacy of 1956 during Hungary’s democratic transition has ceased to exist.”
🖥️ Then: Under the pretext of an investigation into the Hungarian Cultural Fund, prosecutors seized Fidesz’s servers containing personal data and private correspondence. This was not a neutral law enforcement action. It was a politically motivated witch hunt designed to intimidate the opposition and demonstrate that state power would be wielded against anyone who challenges the current government.
⚠️ Now: The Chief Prosecutor has resigned, adding yet another chapter to a constitutional and institutional crisis that deepens by the hour. In his resignation, Gábor Bálint Nagy warned that “the Prosecution Service must not become an instrument in the struggles of political actors, nor can it become an arena for day-to-day political interests or power games.”
This is how democratic safeguards are dismantled: piece by piece, institution by institution, until the checks and balances that protect a nation exist only on paper.
🇭🇺 Hungary deserves better than rule by political vengeance. The rule of law cannot survive if constitutional limits are ignored, state institutions are weaponised against political opponents, and the independence of public office is sacrificed for partisan interests.
Today, prosecutors arrived without prior notice at the data center hosting Fidesz’s servers, intending to seize the party’s entire communications system and databases. Nothing like this has happened in Hungary since the end of communism in 1990.
It is becoming increasingly clear that Hungary’s Brussels-backed liberal authoritarian Prime Minister intends to eliminate his democratic political opponents, crush all resistance to his arbitrary actions, and use the country’s law enforcement authorities as instruments to achieve that goal.
The question is simple: Will there still be free elections in Hungary, or will anyone who dares to run against the Tisza Party simply end up in prison?
Aren’t the enlightened Western politicians and opinion leaders who support this even remotely ashamed?

RESULTS: In response to our investigation, @JudicialWatch has filed FOIAs with @ODNIgov@CIA@FBI@DefenseIntel@DHSgov seeking documents from the controversial Intelligence Community Assessments (ICA) as well as investigations into Domestic Directed Energy Attacks.
DNI Gabbard's team concluded weeks ago the Biden-era ICAs were defective and should be recalled. These intelligence reports said it was very unlikely a foreign adversary was responsible for debilitating neurological conditions known as Havana Syndrome of Anomalous Health Incidents.
As I exclusively reported FEB 5, the DIG (Director's Initiatives Group) findings were ready and prepped for release weeks, but there has been strong resistance within elements of the intelligence community to releasing their findings.
Thank you Judicial Watch @TomFitton for moving the reporting forward, seeking transparency as well as accountability for injured spies, diplomats, military personnel, their families and others.
