Bible believing Christians - How do you grow in your defence of the Gospel?
This is something I’ve been challenging myself to get better at. I believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ, totally and utterly.
I want to learn how to defend it better.
Any advice is welcome!
@Ron_Anderson65 Open the Bible, brother!
Read through the Gospel (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John) to hear the words of Jesus Himself. This will be a great introduction to who God is.
@ausstockchick I had to wrestle with "why does the government want 47% but God only asks for 10%", and reduced income taxes SIGNIFICANTLY.
But, with less being taken out of pay, we should have more in pocket to pay our own way (which is why a lot of subsidies were cut entirely).
lol
My mates and I are doctors in our 20s/30s/40s starting off our careers.
Absolutely everyone is gobsmacked at the budget changes.
Genuinely feels like our generation will get punished for working smart or hard.
None of us own investment properties yet - what’s the point now?
How do we get ahead now?
What was the financial incentive to sacrifice our 20s to train?
It feels like all the worst aspects of communism with none of the benefits…..
No incentivised housing/travel/childcare for doctors
No one in my group is having kids
Yet our alcoholic patients are on their 4th or 5th - supported via government programs
What a joke
Speedrunning civilisational demise
I know you can edit iMessages after they've been sent, but THIS is how I tend to 'correct' my messages - a follow up with an asterisk. Merging the two makes a lot of sense.

CGT discount removed on ALL assets, AND minimum CGT rate of 30%, even if you earned exactly $0 in normal income during that year.
Perhaps the most disgusting, anti-productive, uncompetitive change to Australian fiscal policy in modern history
Never forget. I thought Scott Morrison was bad... this is next level.
Will Australia ever have a decent leadership again? It's feeling more and more unlikely by the minute.
I'm ashamed to be an Australian.
Pre election 2025, Jim Chalmers said “when it comes to negative gearing tax changes, that is something we won’t be touching”
Anthony Albanese said “yes, for the 50th time, I promise that negative gearing will not touched”
The Albanese Government just blatantly lies to our face.
Translation:
We eroded the value of our housing market and pledged $35k per new build to hurt the entire country, and screw over anyone who wants to build something for themselves.
Thanks for nothing, Albo.
@Ausbobsmit It is difficult not to hate them, but we mustn't stoop to that level.
What these traitorous scum have done to our country is horrendous, but we can't fight stupidity and treason with hatred. We have to be more strategic, and more self controlled than they are. That's how we win.
