A young guy from North Dakota moved to Florida and went to a big "Everything under one roof" department store looking for a job.
The Manager says, "Do you have any sales experience?" The kid says "Yeah. I was a vacuum salesman back in North Dakota."
Well, the boss was unsure, but he liked the kid and figured he'd give him a shot, so he gave him the job.
"You start tomorrow. I'll come down after we close and see how you did."
His first day on the job was rough, but he got through it. After the store was locked up, the boss came down to the sales floor.
"How many customers bought something from you today?" The kid frowns and looks at the floor and mutters, "One". The boss says "Just one?!!? Our sales people average sales to 20 to 30 customers a day.
That will have to change, and soon, if you'd like to continue your employment here. We have very strict standards for our sales force here in Florida.
One sale a day might have been acceptable in North Dakota, but you're not on the farm anymore, son."
The kid took his beating, but continued to look at his shoes, so the boss felt kinda bad for chewing him out on his first day.
He asked (semi-sarcastically), "So, how much was your one sale for?"
The kid looks up at his boss and says "$201,237.65."
The boss, astonished, says $201,237.65?!? What the heck did you sell?"
The kid says, "Well, first, I sold him some new fish hooks. Then I sold him a new fishing rod to go with his new hooks.
Then I asked him where he was going fishing and he said down the coast, so I told him he was going to need a boat, so we went down to the boat department and I sold him a twin engine Chris Craft.
Then he said he didn't think his Honda Civic would pull it, so I took him down to the automotive department and sold him that 4x4 F350 powerstroke."
The boss said "A guy came in here to buy a fish hook and you sold him a boat and a TRUCK!?"
The kid said "No, the guy came in here to buy tampons for his wife, and I said, 'Dude, your weekend's shot, you should go fishing.........'"

There is over $5 billion in new milk processing capacity currently under construction in the U.S. That is a strong signal that companies are willing to invest significant amounts of money to supply a growing demand for dairy products https://t.co/cCJBntuYpk
The Golriz Ghahraman story was huge!
So it speaks volumes when there are 131 members of the press gallery, but only 1 (Glenn McConnell) filed articles throughout the two and half week saga and the original story was broken by non gallery members Marc Spring and Philip Crump.
In 1960, David Latimer planted a spiderwort sprout inside of a large glass jar, added a quarter pint of water, and then sealed it shut.
He opened the bottle for the first time only 12 years later, in 1972, to add some water and then sealed it for good.
The self-contained ecosystem flourished for more than 60 years as a perfectly balanced garden and self-sufficient ecosystem.
The bacteria in the compost ate the dead plants and broke down the oxygen released, turning it into carbon dioxide, essentially forming a microcosm of Earth.
Media and NZTA complicit in this protest. At the end of the Herald article that they are deliberately promoting the protests, by helpfully listing all of the times and locations for protesters. Media are complicit. NZTA are also complicit, by helping to coordinate things.

I am not convinced that we all need to 'eat less meat' because the planet is too hot. I think we all need to support British Farmers and their animals, which turn inedible grass into the most nutrient dense food we can eat. #COP28 = #ClimateScam They need to #StopFeedingUsLies
In 1999, skydiver Joan Murray's parachute malfunctioned, causing her to fall 14,500 feet.
Her backup parachute opened at 700 feet, but it quickly deflated and she continued to plummet towards the ground at 80 miles per hour.
Miraculously, Murray survived the fall thanks to the fact that she landed directly onto a mound of fire ants.
Doctors believe that the intense shock of being stung over 200 times by the ants released a surge of adrenaline which kept her heart beating.
We are so sick of @greenpeacenz misinformation on this issue.
At the following link we post 6 references to scientists saying GreenPeace is wrong. We have written to GreenPeace outlining this.
What else can we do to get through to them?

The inherent bias of legacy media has been brought into sharp focus by their reaction to the coalition announcement yesterday. Perhaps the best example is John Campbell's typically florid column for state owned TVNZ which is basically a critique of New Zealanders for not electing a government that John felt comfortable with. Elsewhere the same virtual signalling "commentators" are expressing outrage that the new government will not adhere to the same woke, cancel culture virtue signalling which has destoyed faith in public institutions and democracy itself.
In truth the people have spoken and MMP has delivered a mandate for change which has been clearly laid out by our new government.
It is not the job of our media to judge if those changes are right or wrong, that will be up to voters at the next election.
If the chattering class lanyard wearers of the MSM want to survive and have any interest in actually doing their job they will stop clutching their pearls and being outraged and measure this new government against the clear list of promises it has made to the everyday kiwis who democratically put it in power.
🏏Cricket governing body issues worldwide BAN on transgender males competing in international Women’s Cricket competitions.
The ICC has banned all biological men from competing in the female category regardless of any gender reassignment surgeries, hormones or puberty suppressants they have undergone as part of their transition.
The sporting bodies decision comes after a 9 month consultation process which found an urgent need to protect the safety of female players.
In a statement announcing the decision the ICC said:
“The new policy is based on the following principles (in order of priority), protection of the integrity of the women’s game, safety, fairness and inclusion, and this means any Male to Female participants who have been through any form of male puberty will not be eligible to participate in the international women’s game regardless of any surgery or gender reassignment treatment they may have undertaken.”

This photo shows the Statue of Liberty seen from the torch.
The torch has been closed to the public since 1916 when it was damaged in an explosion caused by German spies.
The event is known as the Black Tom explosion on July 30, 1916.
At that time, the United States had not yet joined World War 1, but they were selling weapons to the Allied powers.
Germany sent saboteurs to destroy production lines and supplies.
Around 100,000 pounds (45,000 kg) of TNT were stored on a barge on the night of the explosion.
Guards noticed small fires and left, fearing an explosion. At 2:08 a.m., the first and biggest explosion occurred.
It was one of the largest non-nuclear explosions in history, equivalent to 5.0 and 5.5 on the Richter scale.
The blast was felt in Philadelphia and shattered windows in Times Square.
The explosion caused $20,000,000 in damages and claimed four lives.
This incident turned public opinion against Germany, eventually leading the United States to join World War 1 on April 16, 1917.
Want to know why coalition negotiations are stalled?
National's woke brigade are digging in opposing a Treaty referendum.
Good sources in donor world are telling me that they have put together a war chest of $2-3 million to give to Act for a Citizens Initiated Referendum to force National's hand.
