You will have to treat police better if you want the best people and to retain them…..their pay, terms and conditions are not good..always under threat from public,, press no rights to breaks, remembering all the law/wording whilst doing 12 hour shifts …they deserve better

@GMB we are not for profit we can’t afford to pay for first sick day, it’s part of learning taking a day off you don’t get paid ..there has to be discretion for employers or no one will take a chance on people who need work and don’t have a positive history
