The AF1 one plane looks like is retiring after the G7 and its inception was based from the 707. The AF needed a 6,000 mile range and have at least 3 engines. Boeing and Mcfdonald douglas opted for it. It first flew in 1987, and Nancy Reagan did the interior designs for it. A mighty 747-200. Delays with wiring though its a complicated beast, delayed its introduction to 1990. Although the stat for 6,000 miles this one can do 7800 miles so more than enough then. 4 General Electric CF6-80C2B1 turbofan engines are the main powerplants that gave 56,700 pounds of thrust each. A little more power than the basic 747-200 back then. It was pricey then to around 325 million dollars. The communcations area and the pilots share the top deck, cabins and offices below that, the kitchen and cargo spaces take the lowest deck. The front bit of that middle deck is called the white house having showers, living area and an Oval office should the president want to speak to the country from there should he or she need to. It also has its own medical facility and a doctor and nurse accompany the president on every trip. As to costs they roughly cost for both $104 million to run a year.
George W Bush even had a treadmill installed to keep himself fit. It also has refuelling capability and also has flare and chaff options should it need them. It also has jamming facilities and can still run even after a nuclear nightmare attack. Whilst theyve taken presidents around theyve also carried their coffins to final resting places too. There are two of them and if as i say these the last few days of their use, theyve been good sturdy planes that have done a lot more than could be expected of them. Both are to go into musueums, one the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum has already requested one. So a little tip of the hat to a mighty plane that did...the job.
JUST IN: This Is A Pretty Stunning Observation.
Trump is celebrating a new Iran agreement centered on a commitment that Iran will never obtain a nuclear weapon.
According to ABC's Jonathan Karl, that same commitment appeared in the very first paragraph of President Obama's nuclear deal more than a decade ago.
Think about that.
First came Obama's agreement.
Then Trump tore it up.
Now Trump is celebrating an agreement built around the same core promise.
How did the white student who fatally stabbed a Hispanic student at a Texas high school have his charge reduced from murder to criminally negligent homicide, while Karmelo was charged with murder?
I donโt used the race card much, but this is RACIST.
THE JUDGE AND THE JURY IN THIS CASE IS RACIST!!
