As "the parents." This is a big part of what worries me about this production. Even in past adaptations that have had a larger focus on Wednesday, the whole family was still part of the story, and had important plots of their own.

I hope like hell that I'm wrong, but #CharlesAddams's estate has made many bad decisions of late (sending #AdultWednesdayAddams a cease and desist, and not following up/through with the writer/actress when she tried to get the rights, & those awful animated movies)
