The single worst thing about Trump to me will always be how much he's changed people. I've watched friends and relatives become entirely new, worse people in the wake of his political rise. Like it's not merely that he's a terrible guy, it's that he's ruined people.
@snowball1926 I'm 66 and I call BS. Sexual activity and unmarried pregnancy was no different then, then it is now. I grew up in Kansas, and we did not hide it and send girls away to pretend. There was a reason Roe v Wade happened in 72 and that was because of protests over abortion.
Rachel #Maddow calls Elon Musk a national security disaster and says, "The U.S. Government is going to have to either unwind from all of those contracts or Elon Musk's companies are going to have to unwind from him."
The result of the election will not take away from the fact that @JoeBiden returned dignity, decency, and compassion to the Oval Office. He is a patriot in the truest sense who embodies what it means to put #CountryOverParty … he is one of the greatest President’s in history.
@realNHGal @Minervasbard Not true. I am 66 and over half the women in my mother's generation went to work. We were expected to graduate and go to work for the rest of our lives or go to college and then go to work. If you said 85 you might have been closer to correct but not 65.
@Amy_Siskind On ABC they had Harris up by 3%. Then they said she was up with women voters by 11% and Trump was up with men voters by 5%. Since there are more women voters then men how then was she only up by 3% unless they definitely undercounted women voters.
@VeryBadLlama My great grandma actually did end up leaving her abusive husband. But she spent the rest of her life moving from 1 child's home to the next child's home as her children took turns supporting her.
@PattyMurray Let's not. As much as I love the extra hour of daylight in the evenings it is more important to have that hour be in the morning in the winter months. It being dark when people are going to work and school is a recipe for disaster. I don't want the sun to rise at 8:42.
@morgfair My husband has an ancestor whose first wife and 3 of their children all died together, if I am remembering correctly, of measles. He married the young woman who was brought in to care for everyone and she became my husbands ancestor. There is 1 tombstone for all four of them.
I’ll only ask for a boost three more times on X; right now, tomorrow, and Monday. After that, at least as it relates to the actual election, we’ll each have done everything we could do…except vote.
If you see me…please tell me.
@KellyScaletta For those who try to claim it is a great system you must not live in a non-swing state that is completely ignored in every presidential election and on top of that be a member of the party that the state doesn't vote for. Since 1976 when I first voted my vote has never counted.
@kelsientaggart Scott Pressler who was an organizer in stop the steal in 2020, went out this fall to register the Amish in Pennsylvania to vote. These counties get a bunch of fraudulent voter registrations and they announce an investigation. Trump immediately claims the election is being stolen.
@NormOrnstein My first reaction was they had no constitutional reason to allow this purge. The law is very specific that this purge is not allowed, so they just decided their partisan political views, not the rule of law, was what mattered in this decision. It doesn't get any more blatant.
@BDNTWLGIO@Sinfulskin2 Your post is very true but it is nothing new. In the USA it started in the 1600's. They made laws that pitted poor white people against black slaves. It goes through the Civil War in which poor white men fought and died to allow rich white men to own slaves and then Jim Crow.
@FPWellman I think it is an ego thing and a power trip. "I can be very late and they will wait for me." It is an extremely abusive relationship and he reveals in it.
