At this year’s SPS Awards, Cst. Tompkins, Cst. Lanthier, and Recruit Reinhard will receive recognition for their roles in a stabbing. Their efforts resulted in the identification and arrest of the suspects, and the victim surviving life-threatening injuries. #SPSontheFrontline
After policing Surrey for the past 2 years, we’ve seen the need for more medical police training to assist victims with life-threatening injuries prior to a paramedic arriving on scene. SPS recently held its new advanced Police Operational Medicine course, providing 13 officers with enhanced skills to treat traumatic injuries during police calls.

Horrible news. Not hyperbole to state that without Stephan Bonnar’s contributions on TUF 1 (and the finale) the sport isn’t what it is today. He will forever be an extremely important part of MMA history.
May he rest in peace.
