@opehayenih@trigottista What's embarrassing about their cowardice is their positionality within their enclave. Otti, Mbah, and several others: these are men who had massive love from their people and huge performance capital to bank on for reelection. What else do they need to survive?
@opehayenih@trigottista This is it. I cringe at the sight of men who now occupy power at the state level. It is a shame that no one is willing to stand their ground and play serious opposition in this dispensation. Aside from Tinubu, there was Abubakar Audu of Kogi State, who stood against OBJ.
Am I overthinking this? Because I am genuinely struggling to understand what is happening in Nigeria.
@inecnigeria has disregarded the Electoral Act by failing to publish the voters’ register online for public scrutiny, even after the statutory 90-day deadline has passed.
Even under Mahmood Yakubu, the register was published online, with a mechanism for complaints and objections.
Today, NOTHING!
And somehow, the country has moved on like nothing happened.
WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE?
Apart from @ARISEtv and @fijnigeria, where is the Nigerian media?
Where are @YIAGA, @EUinNigeria@EU_SDGN , @NDI and the other civil society organisations?
@NigeriaNDCHQ .@ADCNig ARE YOU PEOPLE SLEEPING? Are you actually preparing for this election?
This is the voters’ register we are talking about. THE VERY FOUNDATION OF AN ELECTION!
INEC has effectively said, “To hell with public scrutiny. Do your worst.”
And our collective response is SILENCE.
I am genuinely pained.
We complain about electoral malpractice and compromised institutions, yet when it is time to demand accountability BEFORE an election, everybody suddenly goes quiet.
Must we wait until votes are cast and results are disputed before we start shouting?
Seriously, am I the only one who finds this silence deeply disturbing?
Sincerely, I struggled not to respond because I’ve respected you from a distance. But your post reeks of a painful disconnect from the reality of ordinary Nigerians.
I’m almost 50, with a master’s degree, certifications and years of experience, yet I struggle to find stable work, pay bills and raise ₦1 million for accommodation after receiving a quit notice. Petrol has risen from ₦257 to ₦1,500, rent from ₦300,000 to ₦1 million, and three square meals have become a struggle. How much more suffering must Nigerians endure before their anger makes sense to you? They say the one who has never tasted bitter leaf will swear it's juice is sweet.
You say we shouldn’t reject Tinubu without knowing whether the alternative is a saint. Fair enough, but "must a man keep drinking poison because he cannot guarantee the purity of water elsewhere?" Would you tell a woman to endure repeated stabbings from her husband simply because she cannot vouch for the next man?
Living abroad may give you perspective, but it cannot replicate the daily suffocation of living here. You can sympathise with the man carrying a burden but you cannot dictate its weight when you’re not carrying it. The proverb is plain: he who has never carried the load does not know the weight of the rope.
"Not every angry Nigerian is blind; some are simply tired of being suffocated and then lectured on how to breathe." Before you preach to us about whom not to hate, try understanding what has given our anger a home.
Thank you
@OurFavOnlineDoc Biblical exegesis, too, can suffer from the Procrustean bed. It seems pretty clear that every passage must be forced through the lens of tithing, since it is the chosen prism. Poor Adam!
Yesterday, I received a delegation from Leadership Newspaper, who formally informed me of my nomination for the Leadership Governor of the Year 2026 Award.
I am grateful for this recognition and remain committed to delivering practical governance and sustainable development across Edo State.
Our work continues, and we will keep striving to build a greater Edo for all.
A New Edo Has Risen.

@collinsmbaka Glad you got on by yourself. The meddling wo/men introduced into how people/institutions interface with regulators in our country are a huge menace. Unfortunately, several agencies intentionally create bottlenecks that keep them relevant. That's how one messed up our CAC docs...
12 years you campaigned for the APC. The governors who fought them crossed over and got the front seats, while you were told to tighten your belt.
Land Cruisers at ₦160 million each. A $100 million jet over your suffering.
Your loyalty belongs to your children, and not to them.

Rivers state government give us street light on major roads this is not too much to ask for God sake 😡
People are robbed and killed on a steady at Obiri Ikwerre junction , Gra Junction by immigration office , Airforce junction , eleme junction and several other places
@SimFubaraKSC do something about this is getting too much ahhh
@ruffydfire For a traditionally transdisciplinary field, it is shocking that people hold this biased belief. Journalism, as a practice and a field of study, has always drawn on all areas of life, primarily because its subject matter is inherently multidimensional. Congrats Rufai
@mundus01@mundx_analytics You're on the right path. Don't be bothered by their political language, which betrays a mistrust of greater transparency in electoral processes. Nigerians will wait for INEC to declare the final results, but they also deserve to know every detail leading to the results.
