@benkimbuilds@gimletmonocle Most of the tweakers have been pushed out with the death of cannabis. Nevada city has an annoying blend of MAGA boomers, entitled bay area transplant boomers, and trust fund "hippies". Def some cool peeps and families around tho
@NolanCryptopher Systematic risk, new protocol upgrade coming and new potentials for exploits plus people scared of AI since it found an exploit that "top" cryptographer's and auditors missed for years.
@nezlica Monero is spiritually protected. Many of its users however are not.
For such a freedom tool to go down in this day in age, it would shift the balance too far.
@ebfull@ameensol@udiWertheimer If one is smart enough to figure out an exploit everyone missed for years they can probably stay calm and have an exit strategy to go undetected. Personally I dont think the exploit was done, but if it was there was no reason to rush the exit bc the double spends are hidden.
@GL1TCHYGL1TCH@frankdegods Nothing is a guarantee, complex protocol upgrade coming to XMR susceptible to this sort of exploit and more. Now is not the time to flex...
@DouglasTuman Saddened me to hear CS say in one of your interviews that they didn't think using AI tools was useful for the auditing work. This zec exploit makes it feel essential at this point. I have a ton of faith in everyone touching FCMP but its them vs multi billion dollar data centers
@CryptoCyberia The only evidence would be mass outflows from the shielded pool of exploited funds that hits the turnstile limit which keeps legit users funds locked in forever
