Because this is my home. My ancestors shed their own blood to make this the greatest country on the African continent.
I'm not willing to give that up without a fight. Those who take up refugee status, I absolutely want that for you and I pray that you will find the greatest life in the greatest country on earth, the United States of America.
But I will be here until this country is freed from the wicked and evil grasp of communist terrorists because it's where my ancestors died, it's where my forefathers made a promise to God and He delivered them from the might of the Zulu warrior and gave them victory. It's where my tiny nation looked the most powerful Empire right in the eyes and says "If you want it, come take it from us" and they damn near won.
God is not done with my people and He is most certainly not done with this country. I stay because if we were to all leave, those Christians who can't leave would be left having to fend for themselves against a vile and wicked communist regime that will, like every other nation, kill every last believer to establish its own wicked rule.
If you feel in your heart you must leave, you have my full blessing and prayer of prosperity. If you stay I salute you.
We will save this country because when God is for us, who can stand against us.
Gareth, I'd be happy to discuss my position with you, but I'm sure you would recall what happened the last time we were about to have a debate. We were scheduled for a discussion on eNCA after a public disagreement between the two of us.
When I greeted you in the green room, you asked if we were going to be on at the same time. I said I believe so, yes.
Then, just minutes before we went live you complained that you didn't know that I was going to be there. You took off your microphone, said "I don't have time for this shit," and the ran out of the studio.
The host had to fill in for you without preparation.
I don't have a desire to debate you, but I don't mind doing so. You seem to have a desire to have a debate with me, but you mind very much when you have the opportunity.
Pieter Groenewald is one of the best, if not the best, ministers in the GNU. Perfect, no, but he’s far superior to most of the ANC’s cadres and the DA’s deployees.
Everything the DA does is by committee and is planned.
Therefore the attack on Groenewald is either to distract from the DA’s current failures (a fair conclusion) or it’s to divert attention from a forthcoming scandal which is yet to break.
I’m interested to see what might be coming down the line that they genuinely thought setting GHL’s reputation on fire was worth it.
It can not be stated enough just how bad this messaging is from GHL:
- the FF+ is a natural ally of the DA, not a foe
- it is well known that the DA has lost support to the FF+ because of Steenhuisen’s behaviour, but this will not convince a return
- opinions vary but many consider Groenewald to be the best Minister in the GNU and not any of the DA Minsters. Attacking him comes across as jealous and petty
- the issue being raised by GHL was not created by Groenewald or the FF+, but he is trying to sort it out. Imagine this logic of attack being applied to Macpherson who still has no control over thousands of assets of state owned infrastructure, or Schreiber who has numerically done nothing to stem/reverse illegal immigration
- criticizing someone outside the DA for holding a “talk shop” is very rich when the DA does this exact thing often
- lastly is that Helen Zille will likely be the Mayor of Johannesburg by year end. Just imagine all of the things she will not be able to fix in her first 2 years - GHL just opened the floodgates on hammering her without rebuke
Whomever advised this as a strategy needs to be fired immediately, and the DA really needs to learn how to predict the future consequences of their words and actions better. My goodness.
First John Steenhuisen attacked previous previous Freedom Front Plus leader Dr Pieter Mulder blaming him for Foot and Mouth disease. Now Geordin Hill-Lewis blames the previous Freedom Front Plus leader Dr Pieter Groenewald for parolees who absconded since 1991. Know your DA. The ANC must be very proud !!
@geordinhl@Our_DA Geordin. The 29k is since 1991. I stated in public that I am in a process of electronic bracelets for parolees. There is progress. I had a parole summit last year Sept on the revision of the parole system. We are busy with legislative amendments. Don’t practice cheap politics
