We don’t know how our brains work, it's too complicated to get useful data out of. It might be computationally irreducible. We don’t know how Neural Network's (NN) work, really, but we built them as phenomena simulations of our brains and now we have LLM's that pass the Touring Test.

The exact same thing is happening in robots. We failed to figure out how to make a robots act as we act using understood control techniques. Atlas' backflip was the apex. We have swiftly moved to using NN's that we do not understand to get robots to act as we act.

We have learned very little but how to make the boiling of brains boil similarly in computers.

And we expect to control this thing we don't understand?
