David Letterman jumping off a trampoline onto a wall in a velcro suit was the moment late night television peaked and we’ve been falling for four decades now.
Simply incredible how the Brewers:
1) Lost Freddy
2) Got Woody back but had to shut him down again
3) Lost Priester for the majority of the season & eventually had to shut him down too
3) Didn’t have Chourio to start the season
4) Megill had a rough start to the season
5) Ortiz couldn’t see the ball for a couple months
6) Didn’t do anything of significance in the trade deadline
7) Sproat had to be sent down & Harrison took a turn for the worse
8) As a team, they didn’t hit many homers
And yet here they are. They reached triple digit wins & clinched the best record in baseball for a second straight season.
Pat Murphy deserves so much credit for what he does with these lineups and setbacks. I didn’t think Daniel Vogelbach would make a good hitting coach but here he is doing something right - 2nd in runs / 3rd in BA / 4th in OPS.
They have the Cy Young & a pitcher who should get rookie of the year votes.
I really hope they can keep it up in the postseason. Whatever happens, I love this team. I love the coaches. They have such a bright future. This is the best stretch of Brewers baseball ever and we get to enjoy the ride.

Wisconsin native, former Wisconsin standout and longtime NFL starting right guard Kevin Zeitler is ready to roll if he finds the right opportunity, according to a source. (At age 36, that means a team that can win.) He's only played about 14,000 snaps at right guard.
This game is on Matt LaFleur. Period.
This OL wasn’t prepared. He played WAY too conservative on early downs and off quick changes.
They should have buried this team and they’re going to lose just like they did in the playoffs.
More reason we can’t help but worry that, despite this spectacular season, the Dodgers or Braves SPs 1-3 will make Crew’s offense disappear again in the postseason.
At what point does Joey Ortiz just get the lion's share of third base starts because of his defense? A spiked throw home with the bases loaded scores a run. It is 3-0 in the second. Buckle up.
Give the Big Ten credit for publishing the video and audio of what the replay crew saw and said.
Still a lot of confusion as to why the clock they're seeing is different from what everyone in the stadium and on TV was seeing.
It wasn't particularly close. The ball was still in the air when the clock hit 0:00.
We're going to need an explanation why the officials put 1 second back on.
