Memorial Day isn’t about barbecues or beach days—it’s about those American heroes who gave everything for our freedom.
THIS 70-SECOND VIDEO CAPTURES WHAT THE DAY IS TRULY ABOUT. 🇺🇸
It's the 20th Anniversary of Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth."
NONE of his scary predictions have come true.
Mt. Kilimanjaro still has snow and Glacier National Park still has glaciers.
Here's why we are not doomed:
@CJNitkowski seeing Mize leaving the game prompts me to ask if there is still a stigma attached to split-finger pitch causing arm problems? There was period when it was rare, but seems to have had a resurgence the last few years.
@CJNitkowski don't forget a potential great 2-way player, Tim Hudson. 1997 at Auburn: 15-2 2.97 ERA and hit .396 18HR 95RBI. What about Michael Harris as LH reliever?
@SenTuberville@POTUS@EDSecMcMahon Coach, the Dept of Ed has no Constitutional authority over education. Curriculum mandates from the Fed Gov are conditions for receiving federal funds. Most school systems are dependent on these funds. Bills providing those funds with such mandates are passed by Congress.
@IngramRadio@JChad680 Carney Lansford won Batting Title / Silver Slugger in 81 for Red Sox. After 82 season traded to As for Tony Armas to make room at 3B for Wade Boggs.
@SenTuberville 5 to play 4 was created based on concept of a Bachelors/4yr degree. Over time 4 yr degrees have lost value and advanced degrees are preferred usually requiring at least another year. Professional degrees even more. If student-athlete is enrolled full-time, let them play.
@SenTuberville This is not an issue for government legislation. Let the schools rectify the situation. As long as coaches and schools have the power to revoke a player's scholarship after a year, the player should have the power not to resign and transfer without penalty.
@SenTuberville Legislation restricting the earning potential of players is not the answer. If coaches want to keep players for more than 1 year, then offer multi-year deals. Coaches can revoke a scholarship after 1 season. Players should also be able to opt out after 1 year without penalty.
This is an article in the Kansas City Star about my high school football coach, Bud Abell, who played for the Chiefs in the late 60s. Men of his generation didn't ask for help and maybe didn't know they needed it.

@BillShanks you mentioned GT, UGA, and Hawks basketball in your opening. Don't forget Georgia Southern men's team. The #10 seed Eagles have won 5 games in 5 nights to advance to the Sun Belt Championship vs Troy tonight.
