The image of Ayrton Senna sitting in his Williams FW16 on the grid at the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix is one of the most haunting and analyzed moments in F1 history.

Unlike his usual pre-race routine—where he was typically focused, shielded by his iconic yellow helmet, and mentally "in the zone"—Senna spent a significant amount of time that Sunday sitting in the cockpit with his helmet off.

On lap 6 after the restart Senna set the fastest lap of the race up until that point so he was clearly very focussed.
