@Robert_Munnich Yes that’s ideal, but not franchise altering.
In some cases Whitecloud insulating the young D core might be worth more long term than a late 1st.
The prospect cupboard is STACKED you need a trade? Soon it’s coming from those guys.
@Robert_Munnich If you miss on a Morgan Frost trade, the organization isn’t set back. But if they had missed on the big ones last year, there would be a much bigger consequence.
@Robert_Munnich My thoughts on this are that there were a number of vets that had to be sold, and you had to capitalize on, Andersson, Kadri etc. now what’s left has relatively low value. MAYBE frost gets something decent as a return, but the big ones have already been done.
@DarrenWHaynes I don’t mind this approach, but either way I think it’s clear that Conroy has to start making some room in the wings. There’s a logjam, with Huberdeau coming back in a month or two.
@ColtonBaxter17 Yesh there’s this narrative that he’s bad defensively, but Meghan Mikkelson had all of those stats on breaking up zone entries where he was near the top of the list.
@davedubbin85 People see them as the same. But what they don’t realize is having two players with high offensive skillsets and the potential to be stars is GOOD.
@ByronMBader Something think would be cool, but might be a bit dangerous expectations wise. In your tool adding What kind of season do we need to see from this player to be a star. Maybe it’s sliders or something. So in the MHL how many points would make Alan trending to be a star.
@salm0nking Carels as a defencemen might take longer development wise, he’s on the younger side of the draft. However the bet here is upside. Can Bjork at his size be a #1 C? Can Carels be a #1 D in 5 years?
