@HarveyAlvy1 Hi Harvey, I think including assignments that we actually implement in placement and then reflecting on them would be more practical. #edchat
@oldbay84 In my program in Ontario, we had a practicums every semester for two years. But I feel like it should be one placement for a year so you can see the whole progression. #edchat
@HarveyAlvy1 Tuning in from Ontario. & tbh.. other than my placement, I did not feel prepared for teaching. A lot of my courses were just ‘busy’ work. #edchat
@hechternacht We are taking them to our local theme park and inviting the parents for a little ceremony and presentations. We are then presenting a diploma to our SKs !! #kinderchat
@Lindsay58878850 I made a mud kitchen and the students can’t wait to join in, also bubbles and lots of outdoor sensory!!! Science experiments too! #kinderchat
@hechternacht I have actually talked about it for a month or so, especially with the SK’s and how proud I am and that they are going to SOAR in grade 1. A lot of them are super excited, and I teach in a small school so they already know a lot of the potential teachers #kinderchat
@ShiftParadigm Hi everyone. I believe that formative assessment allows us to see the whole child and their progress, as a student is not just 'a snapshot at one time'. #edchat
@meldmidge I build and nourish relationships by communicating and listening to others. I make an effort to speak and listen to all my students throughout the day. I also keep communication between parents and guardians open, and let them know they can talk to me about anything. #kinderchat
