@andy4wm I canโt help thinking you are boosting this in the expectation Rachel will cut it to fund defence. How do we end up with 4 mainline stations in Birmingham when HS2 opens. Its a shambles.
@RuthDavidsonPC If they were SNP branded and used by campaigners, fair do. If they were resold and the proceeds pocketted then an issue. That is the question over much of this.
@CrecyRail@railway200 Congratulations. Someone has finally had the courage to say it. I saw it first at Kidderminster but couldnโt go on as they wanted prebooked tickets - it was empty. I visited it at Shildon and it was a big disappointment.
@njbirse@Captain_Deltic@DanielJHannan The safety metrics of the Big 4 and early BR were disastrous mostly due to staff casualties. Safety is largely driven by the loss of wagonload freight and loco hauled trains with shunting accidents and by permanent way mechanisation.
@BenGrahamUK It will never pass UK safety or environmental rules. Remember the German crash? A lightweight unit built like an aircraft with poor impct resistance and linked to the ground so energy could not be dissipated. The necessary elevated tracks would be environmental fails.
@SteveWhiteRail@lfg_uk@cnbcwatcher90 Its not the fleet - its the customers. Its odd that Thameslink toilets and Bakerloo tubes are disproportionately hit. On Thameslink the toilets are the only bit not covered by CCTV and it shows its worth as compared to Bakerloo.
@JohnWil45304495@ianvisits As a 15 year old trainspotter in the seventies I travelled on an excursion train from Manchester to London. Mum asked where I was going while she shopped and was appalled when I said Stratford as, to her mind, Stratford upon Avon was a long was from London. SF though was not.
@Jeanblaguin16@HelloIAmAntoine@paytick2@Eurostar The difference between Eurostar and TGV is that Eurostar needs customs and immigration and that doesnโt wash its face for Kent stops. Kent voted to leave the EU and now reaps what it sowed.
@VeteranIrish Ridiculously, you could have 4 city centre stations. New St, Moor st, Snow Hill and Curzon st. Curzon St is HS2 so perhaps a whopping price to buy it.
@Captain_Deltic@Heidi_Labour https://t.co/7FTu2vwTLG actually not bad. I guess that if you electrify to Oxford tickets will cost the same as to Swindon. Then again itโs worth looking at what is not mentioned -electrification and High Speed 2. But the focus seems good.
