It would cost billions - likely hundreds of billions - to build the necessary refineries. You okay with footing that bill, or are we still pretending to save taxpayers' money?

@tomgriess @GlobalBC @trackwanderer If the bird has salmonella, both the contents and the shell will have it too. The follicle (yolk) isn't released from the ovary with the shell already on, it's formed after. Similar concept to a human mother passing a pathogen to a fetus in utero.

@BobRobinsonn @GlobalBC It's fatal to birds, point blank. Cull the sick now = less spread and fewer deaths. They're culling poultry, which we obviously like to eat (probably too much but thats another convo). It can decimate entire facilities in days and is a real risk of disruption to the food supply.
