MDS needs to change his mindset. The time is perfect. Just had a month off, handed one of the easiest schedules coming back. Team has momentum. All his main guys and subs are currently available. Weathers been nice. Negative mindset is a cancer man. Embrace challenges. Life’s not perfect. Find a way!
@LAFC@LeaguesCup@BMOStadium Why don’t we let this team loose. Use this tournament to level up on offense!!! Have courage, take risks, be bold! This tournament is not for the weary. MDS please trust your players!
Tillman, Delgado, Ebobisse, Segura all have value - Trade them to teams competing or young teams that need identity. Use that GAM to purchase a true DP 10 or similar. Tillman/Delgado you can sell at top value. Ebo & Segura will prob. come at a discount but take the GAM.
I feel this encapsulates my feelings right now towards this club. We CAN change things around, but not with the current leadership and players in place. I hope I'm wrong, but I have 4 yrs of tells telling me we are going down a similar path unless something major changes.
I study patterns for a living, & I can't ignore the one I've watched develop at LAFC over the last four years.
This isn't about today's draw in Vancouver, & it isn't just an attack on MDS. I love this club. That's exactly why I'm saying it.
Every season we come up short in the biggest MENTAL tests, & every season the excuses are the same: schedule congestion, injuries, travel, elevation, depth, rotations, fatigue, international duty, referees, etc.
At some point those excuses stop being reasons & start becoming culture.
The greatest managers don't teach players to survive—they teach them to trust themselves. Take risks, believe in the process. Attack a challenge head on.
Today LAFC scored first against the best team in the West... then spent 45 minutes inviting pressure.
That's not trust.
For four years we've struggled to develop a true Plan B. If Bouanga or Son are neutralized, what's next?
Where are the tactical adjustments?
The creativity?
The dangerous set pieces?
Championship teams evolve.
We keep repeating the same story.
LAFC has a rare championship window w/ Son, Bouanga & Martinez. Windows like this don't stay open forever.
Talent has never been this club's problem.
Learning from its mistakes has.

@_NickChastain_ Segura is only a late game sub. That's it, late game, nothing more. Defending a lead sure, but using him as a tactic to beat the best team in the West?! MDS can't be serious.
@SonnyDaysLAFC@Wu7Son We've had no midfield for 4 years and the results are the same yet we keep doing it over and over expecting something different. I'm losing patience.
MDS has to start learning from his mistakes.
When you play the best teams, you don't beat them by spending 45 minutes inviting pressure. You trust ur players.
Sir Alex Ferguson & Pep Guardiola believe the best way to defend is w/ the ball. Johan Cruyff believed if you have possession, your opponent can't score.
LAFC scored 1st, had momentum, & then spent the entire 2nd half parked in their own half. Why? Parking the bus isn't a winning identity. It's reactive football. We went into Toluca w/ that same mindset.
Championship teams impose themselves, they don't spend an entire half hoping to survive. That's not a winning attitude & culture. Trying to survive rarely works, yet here we are. 1 point isn't the end of the world, but the strategy is of most concern for a team capable of being the best.
You don't defend a lead by surrendering possession to one of the best attacking teams in MLS. You defend by keeping the ball, pressing intelligently, & making ur opponent defend too.
I also don't understand the rotations. If you're facing the best team in the West, that's the time to put your best XI on the field—not experiment or ease players back into the lineup(Tillman). The inconsistencies w/ starting lineups, substitutions are all over the place.
Championship teams don't play scared. They trust their quality. MDS holds this team back.

@LAFC Always have a plan B and don't hesitate to change course if needed. Take risks, take control and believe and trust your players. This team is built to score and win games. The season starts NOW!
