@thelegacyofnerd I win either way.
Netflix gets WB and they go on a speed run to destroy Hollywood. I win.
Paramount gets WB and we might actually get a few more years of good movies.
@sujithrao@Carl_Nwakakwa Who gives a crap about CNN? Their ratings are in the tank. I want good movies...something Hollywood has provided very few of in recent years.
Skydance had a lot of good movies under their belt, Skydance bought Paramount. That's a good thing.
@EmperorBigD I'll keep fingers crossed for a DB & Z remake....a proper top tier new restoration of OG DB...or a Kai style "restore, remaster, remove filler and streamline" edition of DB.
Just in the hope that ANY of that might ger ANY percentage of Skippers to watch it.
@TheKaijuKingdom Yeah, I'm not bad-mouthing it, just when it is frequent as it has been and just casually thrown around it feels a bit less special.
On top of all of the usual shows that have heavy-referenced or included Godzilla(My Hero Academia, Dan Da Dan, Kaiju No 8, Shinkalion)...
@Grimiio "I read comics and never watch movies"
"I watch movies and never read comics"
Whose opinion matters more when it comes to deciding if a comic book movie was a good movie?
@evilerub @Grimiio Some people simply aren't fans of all mediums.
A Batman movie comes out.
Who is more of an authority on whether or not a Batman movie is good?
A pure Batman comic book expert or a pure film expert?
@Grimiio You literally don't have to because most superhero characters have existed for decades in animated series, TV shows, and multiple feature film franchises.
You can never read a comic and be a fan of the cinematic version of many characters.
Stop being dumb.
@jtalexander Nowadays the pipeline from "everyone is watching" to "nobody recommends it" doesn't even last the full show.
Stranger Things couldn't finish before falling off in a big way.
Westworld, The Witcher, The Last of Us, Fallout. Early hype quickly dissolved into apathy each time.
Saying this is like seeing a girl who loves the idea of a man "paying for everything, covering the bills, bought you a new car, vacation planned" and saying "oh girls just want a another dad rather than an actual boyfriend."
@shantplace They didn't hesitate to recast Ross after William Hurt died.
Ross got to continue on as a character but Black Panther couldn't?
Boseman would have wanted the Black Panther character to continue on, not die with him.
Opportunists used it to force another M-She-U Girlboss.
@TheCinesthetic Ike was ready for it to be Hulk instead of Iron Man...which would have been interesting, as then it would have increased the size of Hulk's role in the MCU & had Civil War directly set up Hulk's move over to Ragnarok as it would have ended with Hulk properly being sent to space
