@GordNewel @murrayca1158 So we sent the results to our W3 office + asked for their help. We also contacted @ParksFdnCalgary as this pathway would help connect people to the Greenway, developers + asked residents to call 311. Eventually it worked its way up the unfunded list and here we are. 2/2

Residents had been asking about this for years. We got an #ActivateYYC microgrant to activate the space and did community engagement. Despite telling folks that we couldn't afford to build a pathway with up to $1000, that was what most chose anyway. 1/2

Partnership with the local #yycca is key. @NorthernHills is very importantly a fiscal partner for applying for grants for community led projects like @HillsMural and @CreatingCovYYC

Coventry Pollinator Corridor Pilot update:
Despite the mowing, a lot of the plants have survived! 🌸🎉 We had far fewer thistles and other noxious weeds to dig up this year, too, as many of the native prairie flowers are spreading 🥰
