Despite the mowing, a lot of the plants have survived! πΈπ We had far fewer thistles and other noxious weeds to dig up this year, too, as many of the native prairie flowers are spreading π₯°

@sprawlcalgary @Spencerfor12 Volunteers burn out more quickly when everything they want to do comes with many hours of trying to fundraise/find grants to support even the smallest community events/improvements.

Lots re: we should create community in other ways, but with absolutely ZERO mention of the Coventry Little Free Pantry or the other #CommunityByCommunity initiatives that regular residents who aren't the CA have spearheaded. Someone didn't do their research properly.
