Your Design Is Talking, Is Anyone Listening?
So I was working with someone recently and after dropping the designs she gave a very different review.
“These are too extra. The designs are clean but I don’t like the whole icons and blur and stuff.. keep it simple and straight to the point.”
Some designers might feel annoyed by that.
But that review struck me.
It made me remember what my mentor told me once .. he said
“Designers should focus more on the Content than the Manipulations.”
And honestly that’s the problem many designers face.
A lot of designers are creating visuals that look good but say nothing. Graphic design isn’t all about the fancy icons and elements it goes deeper than that.
Design is communication, It’s information delivery. It’s making sure whoever sees that flyer, banner, or post gets it before they even read a caption.
At times.. People fail to see the power a design carries.
A flyer or banner alone can tell you so much about a content before you even start digging deep.
That’s why when I design, I always make sure it flows with the content I’m designing about.
But wait..don’t get me wrong,
Manipulations aren’t useless. They’re needed for specific types of designs that tell a message in a particular direction.
But in all..learn to keep your designs simple, minimalistic and sweet.
Because at the end of the day the design should serve the content and deliver the desired message🧡
Hope you learnt something today
Stay tuned for the next one 🧩
I think it’s time I started putting out more design related content
There are so many interesting topics in the design space that are worth discussing,
Well… stay tuned.
I’m entering my writing arc again. ✍️
“Someone can get onboarded today, have crazy connections, and surpass someone who's been here for years.”
This is the most realistic line and im saying this from experience
Seen many who were onboarded before others yet they are still lost
So I feel making good connections can land growth faster and get you more opportunities
Nice take star 🧡🧡🧡

Honestly love the comments under this…
It’s nice to see people actually relate with the message even non designers as well.
I think my next content will talk about concepts..
That’s another problem designers( especially newbies face)
And trust me will share a sweet hack for you guys
Ps: it might be an article 🤷🏽
