@USMCVetOEF @rowton007 No, a crime is not required for an injured party to seek a remedy under the common law. A crime is considered an offense against the state or ruling authority Therefore, criminal law does not require an individual injured party

Lest we forget…

[Cress Mason @CressMasomm2]

@AntiLibWombat AF&AMnot that it even matters anymore it was an old riff in the UK that's been forgotten about in the states we just kept the designations for no real reason honestly

[Cress Mason @CressMasomm2]

@FactNukeU @NotoriusNormani @OdayJeff @WolfprwX The suggestion was We don't need you to do that" (or "You don't need to do that")the exact phrasing is nuanced & open interpretation

[Cress Mason @CressMasomm2]

@FactNukeU @NotoriusNormani @OdayJeff @WolfprwX Fair Point dispatcher Sean Noffke testified that he did not issue a formal, direct order to stay in the vehicle, explaining that dispatchers were trained to offer suggestions or advice rather than direct commands due to liability reasons.

@FactNukeU @NotoriusNormani @OdayJeff @WolfprwX I'm awear & Im sure it was self defense
My point is that he was instructed to stay in his vehicle by a police dispatcher but chose not to instead he confronted the individual who before that was not a threat I'm saying he simply could have deferred it to the local police

@HoseanRc @jeanontwiter It's still law just not well enforced Following the 2022–2023 "Woman, Life, Freedom" protests sparked by the death of Mahsa Amini, millions of Iranian women have engaged in ongoing daily resistance by appearing in public, cafes, streets, and public transport without a headscarf

[Cress Mason @CressMasomm2]

@jeanontwiter @HoseanRc The premise that the hijab is no longer required in Iran is incorrect. Legally, the compulsory hijab remains strictly mandatory under Iranian law

[Cress Mason @CressMasomm2]

@MiniWrongThink @jeanontwiter 66 American hostages were taken by roughly 3 to 400 Iranians

[Cress Mason @CressMasomm2]

@Truefortress @MiniWrongThink @jeanontwiter The 66 American hostages were collage students not invaders

[Cress Mason @CressMasomm2]

@HoseanRc @jeanontwiter Why is that

The soul of man is divided into three parts:

• intelligence,
• reason, and
• passion.

Intelligence and passion are possessed by other animals, but reason by man alone.

Fall is a great reminder to check in on the things that help keep your family safe.

Take a few minutes to
✅Test smoke alarms
✅Check carbon monoxide detectors
✅Replace batteries as needed.

And if your area observes daylight saving time, don't forget to turn your clocks back one hour this weekend. ⏰
