Open ended Q - What year(s) did it begin when people would rather have their teams lose and go negative vs your teams win and be positive? Advent of social media, contracts, more TV games, fantasy football?
To play at a consistently high level, no one on your team has to do anything extraordinary but they will need to do the ordinary things extraordinarily well. That comes only through practice and repetition along with the refusal to be out-worked.
Going through the motions won't make an impact. Just showing up doesn't lead to greatness. It's hard to be great, but it's well worth the effort. -@JonGordon11
Players: While working to become the best you can be, you’re forming habits that develop you as a person, too. Basketball doesn’t define you; it’s just something that you do. Develop habits that enrich your life & the lives of others. Your self worth is who U are not what you do!

Discipline is needed in order to produce better outcomes. It's not punishment. You choose to be disciplined. Staying disciplined eventually opens doors, providing you more opportunities & choices. -@AllistairMcCaw

Something I wish I realized when I was a player:
The amount of time my coaches spent away from their own families just to help me and my teammates succeed.
Players who want to play and have fun are "participants". Players who work hard in practice and games are "competitors". Players who do what's right all the time are "champions".
